With a legacy dating back to 1921, SKS is a respected manufacturer in the bicycle industry, committed to keeping bikes rolling for over a century. It all started when Karl Scheffer-Klute of Sundern, Germany began producing curtain rods, a venture that eventually led to the acquisition of a tire inflator company by Wilhelm Blome in 1932. This inspired the company to venture into manufacturing metal pumps.

Today, SKS is renowned for its range of cycling accessories, including bike pumps, fenders, bags, tools, digital pressure gauges, bottle cages, cage adapters, and phone holders - all designed and manufactured in Sundern, Germany. At our bicycle headquarters in Sundern, SKS Germany employs 400 individuals, with a total of over 700 employees across our three divisions. Our aftermarket product sales account for 43% of our bicycle business, with OEM products making up 32%.

On an annual basis, SKS Germany produces an impressive array of cycling essentials, including 4.5 million full fenders, 2 million clip-on fenders, and 1.2 million bicycle pumps. This equates to over 18,000 fenders and 3,200 pumps manufactured daily!
